The batter they use isn't the same, nor is it fried right. The fish they use isn't haddock nor cod but some other variety found in local waters (fair do's, but flavour is flavour) and the chips are made with different potatoes than Maris Piper or Yukon Gold or something (again, due to using common local varieties). on top of not being double-fried.
