A petrol station boss in Salford which cut fuel prices in a bid to offer the cheapest fuel in the country has dropped prices once again, claiming to now be ‘around 30p cheaper than the supermarkets’.
The Limes Service Station, situated on Manchester Road in Walkden, significantly dropped its prices for petrol and diesel earlier this month. Since July 14, the station has been offering unleaded at 169.9p and diesel at 185.9p with drivers flocking to the tanks in order to save monkey.
Co-director Hassan Mohammed has announced today (July 26) that prices at the Limes station have dropped even further to continue to help people during the cost of living crisis. The station is now selling unleaded fuel at 159.9p and diesel for 179.9p a litre.

According to Confused.com’s price comparison, the station's prices are almost 30p cheaper than the 187.5p average for petrol and more than 15p cheaper than the 196.3p average for diesel.
Revealing the price drops this morning, Hassan said people ‘couldn’t believe their eyes’ at the latest offer and said he also believes he is now offering 30p less than some supermarket stations.
“At the moment, there’s no one that’s cheaper than those prices,” he said. “We’ve had a fantastic response from people over the past twelve days and we’ve seen how much of a difference it’s made to the bottom line of our customers.
