Deutsche Bahn secures power from 61-MW German wind portfolio

German railway company Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the output of three wind farms with an installed capacity of 60.7 MW.
The contract with Centrica Energy Trading has a term of two years and involves the supply of about 70 GWh of renewable electricity annually to Germany's national railway operator. Supply will start in January 2024.
